Acupuncture Significantly Reduces Fatigue ,& Inflammation in CFS Patients

A new study published on 27 June 2025 shows that four weeks of manual acupuncture can significantly reduce fatigue and inflammation in adults with CFS. Compared to a control group (who received vitamin B1, oryzanol, and lifestyle advice), those treated with acupuncture reported:

– Reduced fatigue (FS‑14)

– Fewer physical and mental symptoms

(SPHERE)

– Improved sleep quality (PSQI)

– Lower levels of inflammatory markers (IL‑6

& IFN‑γ)

Treatment involved carefully chosen acupuncture points (GV20, GB20, BL20, BL23, SP6, KI3), based on the TCM theory of “brain–kidney interaction.” Sessions were 30 minutes long, 5 days a week, over 4 weeks—and the benefits were significant.

Could this be a promising path for those living with chronic fatigue? Let us know in the comments.
